Job summary

Qualifications

• Provide individualized and group career advising to students and alumni, including career exploration, major selection, career planning, and goal setting.
• Assist students with resume and cover letter development, interview preparation, job search strategies, networking, and professional branding.
• Develop, coordinate, and deliver career development workshops, classroom presentations, and other career readiness programming.
• Guide students in identifying and securing internships, apprenticeships, employment, and other experiential learning opportunities.
• Utilize labor market information to assist students in making informed educational and career decisions.
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with employers, business and industry partners, community organizations, and workforce agencies to expand career opportunities for students.
• Collaborate with faculty and campus partners to integrate career readiness competencies into programs and student success initiatives.
• Coordinate and support career fairs, information sessions, networking events, and on-campus recruiting activities.
• Maintain accurate student records and document advising interactions; assess program outcomes.
• Collect, analyze, and report on student participation, employment outcomes, and program effectiveness.
• Remain current on employment trends and best practices in career services and student advising.
• Provide specialized career advising to designated student populations and academic programs.
• Participate in departmental and college committees and professional development activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
