Job summary

South College Orlando campus is seeking a highly motivated Career Services Advisor to join our Student Services Department on campus. This is a Full-Time - On Campus role.

You will assist graduates in securing employment in-field, collaborate with employers, coordinate job placements, advise on resumes and interviews, and plan career services seminars. A Bachelor's degree and 1–3 years of college/university experience are required; you will maintain placement records and report weekly to your

Career Services Advisor Description:

We are now seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual for the position of Career Services Advisor to join our Student Services Department at the South College Orlando campus.

This job is a Full-Time - On Campus role.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist all graduates in securing in-field/related field employment in order to meet the institutional placement benchmark.
2. Work with industry/businesses to determine present and future employment needs and generate interest in South College graduates.
3. Coordinate job placements with prospective employers, determine job descriptions, and recommend graduates for interviews, follow up on graduate placement.
4. Meet with students to provide resources and assistance with mock interviewing, resume and cover letter writing assistance, and job search strategies.
5. Assist in planning career services seminars for graduates, alumni, and the general public.
6. Maintain an electric file for each graduate that includes required documentation of employment. Enter placement information in student database.
7. Maintain statistical records on graduate employment, long-term and short-term.
8. Survey and compile annual statistics for graduates, employers as to job satisfaction with graduates, and alumni.
9. Coordinate job fairs on campus, attend community events to promote the college, and attend high school career fairs as requested.
10. Report to supervisor weekly on employment status of graduates and activities of the office.
11. Serve on college committees as designated

Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree

Experience:

• 1-3 years’ experience at a college or university setting

Knowledge & Skills:
