Job summary

Houston Strong is seeking a Workforce Development, Training & Transitional Support Coordinator to strengthen onboarding, training, and ongoing support for interns, employees, and youth transitioning to independence. This cross-functional role bridges workforce development, internship coordination, program support, and transitional services while emphasizing organization and communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
Experience in training, onboarding, internship coordination, and workforce development preferred.
Experience with interns, youth, foster families, or social-service professionals is desirable.

Responsibilities

Coordinate onboarding for new employees with leadership, supervisors, HR, and other departments.
Schedule trainings, track completion, and maintain training materials and calendars.
Support FutureForce Internship Program onboarding, mentorships, and documentation.
Assist case management and program teams with training resources and records.
Coordinate foster-family training and youth workforce-readiness activities.
Maintain training records, track progress, and prepare reports for audits.
Develop and maintain training materials, guides, and checklists.
Support staff development and continuous improvement across programs.
