Job summary

Smart Staffing Group is seeking an Employment and Training Coordinator to support the development of job placement services and a broad range of workforce development activities. You will assist with job searches, job placements, work experiences, business development, and trainings in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include resume generation, outreach, trainings (Career Exploration Counseling, Work Readiness, Financial Literacy), and maintaining detailed progress reports.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in social services or related field.
• Ability to organize and monitor work processes.
• Collaborate with team, partners, employers, clients.
• Work independently without supervision.
• Strong time management and multitasking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for trainings.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support, generate resumes, perform job searches based on employment goals and locations.
• Perform online job searches, employment outreach, and participate in job fairs.
• Lead trainings such as Career Exploration Counseling, Work Readiness, Financial Literacy.
• Complete employment, retention, coaching and training forms.
• Create monthly progress activity reports reflecting employment progress on job searches.
• Attend monthly job meetings and New York Case Trainings.
• Handle sensitive information confidentially.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
