Job summary

Florida International University seeks a Career Development Specialist to support leadership in creating and delivering innovative career readiness initiatives. You will collaborate with the Career Development and Employer Engagement teams to boost student preparation and application to local and national employer internships and jobs.

You will meet one-on-one with students and recent alumni to help develop a career plan, and you will present career development workshops and outreach to diverse

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and one year of related experience; OR Master’s degree.
Experience assisting students with career readiness.
Ability to develop and deliver career readiness workshops (e.g., Resume Writing, Internship 101, Interview Skills 101).
Knowledge of MBTI or STRONG Inventory.
Experience working with online students.

Responsibilities

Supports CTD leadership in developing and delivering innovative career readiness initiatives.
Works with Career Development and Employer Engagement teams to increase student preparation and application to local and national opportunities.
Meets with students and alumni to develop career plans.
Facilitates career development workshops and outreach to promote readiness.
