You will coordinate employment and internship opportunities, teach career development courses, and partner with employers and campus units to connect students with experiential learning and employment pathways. You will oversee internships, engage with community agencies, conduct workshops, collect program data, and present to students.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education, Special Education or related field.
• Two years of experience working with and teaching students with intellectual disabilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Teaching certification or license in special education.
• Any appropriate combination of education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate employment and internship opportunities for the FGCU R.I.S.E. program and teach related career development courses.
• Oversee internship placements and supervision of internships for R.I.S.E. program participants.
• Meet with program participants to assist them in obtaining experiential learning opportunities or employment.
• Promote employment of R.I.S.E. students by liaising with employers and community agencies.
• Teach courses related to professional career development and internships.
• Collect and analyze data on career development and internships with program leaders and stakeholders.
• Conduct workshops, career events, and presentations.
• Attend FGCU FCSUA webinars and annual meetings.
