Job summary

Seminole State College of Florida is seeking a liaison to develop and implement strategies that recruit and retain students in Career and Technical Education programs. You will partner with students, advise on course choices, and monitor progress toward Certificates and A.S. degrees.

You will collaborate with Student Affairs, Program Managers, and faculty to remove barriers to success and provide accurate program information. Evening events and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution.
• One year of experience working with students in a high school or postsecondary institution.
• Master’s degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution (desired).
• Knowledge of career and technical education programs.
• Experience with grants projects.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements student recruitment, retention, and completion initiatives for career and technical education programs (AS, CCERT and PSAV).
• Partners with degree-seeking students to help identify courses and track progress through reports and degree audits.
• Assists students with educational and career planning and makes referrals to Career Development Center.
• Collaborates with campus staff to address barriers to student success and provide accurate program information.
• Acts as liaison between Academic Affairs and Student Affairs to enhance recruitment, advising, registration, and completion.
• Supports recruitment activities such as information sessions, open houses, and workforce fairs.
