Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area in Manor, TX, seeks a Workforce Specialist to coordinate workforce readiness programs across before/after school times. You will partner with local employers, colleges, and CTE teachers to create pathways that lead to internships, certifications, and meaningful work experiences.

You will host workshops on resume writing and interview skills, manage program data, and report outcomes to the Workforce Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Education/Workforce Development preferred).
• Experience in career advising or workforce development.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage varied hours.
• Proficient in data tracking and community collaboration.
• Familiarity with Manor ISD and local labor market context is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and aligning Career & Technical Education (CTE) pathways with in-demand occupations.
• Coordinate outreach with local employers, community colleges (e.g., ACC), and workforce partners.
• Plan and schedule career fairs, guest speakers, site visits, and job shadowing opportunities.
• Facilitate workshops and classroom sessions on career readiness: resumes, interviews, certifications.
• Collaborate with CTE instructors to supplement programs.
• Track and report on student participation and outcomes.
