Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Austin Area is seeking a Community Engagement Manager in Austin to strengthen partnerships, plan community-facing events, and support ACE Cycle 13 grant requirements. The role blends administrative coordination with active outreach.

You will build relationships with schools, families, and community groups, coordinate volunteers, track progress, and prepare briefs for senior leadership. A passion for youth development and equity is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• 2–4 years in community engagement, event coordination, volunteer management, nonprofit programs, or related fields.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and events with timelines, docs, and follow-through.
• Strong written communication for emails, notes, and progress updates.
• Commitment to youth development and BGCAA's mission.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with schools, families, and community orgs.
• Coordinate community-facing events from planning through post-event follow-up.
• Staffing, supplies, communications, partner coordination, and follow-up for program events.
• Track deliverables, deadlines, and partner commitments; escalate bottlenecks.
• Prepare concise updates and reports for leadership as requested.
