San Diego Youth Services seeks a Career Navigator for the TAY Works! program to support youth ages 16-24 in San Diego. The role involves intake, goal planning, education and employment connections, and overseeing youth engagement, including work at Ground Up Coffee shop.

The position is full-time, temporary, non-exempt, reporting to the Program Manager with an end date of June 31, 2027. Remote work is limited to scheduled days; in-office presence is required most of the time.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field (two years equivalent experience accepted).
• Minimum 3 years of workforce development experience, preferably with at-risk youth (WIOA).
• Willing to work nights and weekends.
• Willing to develop trauma-informed care knowledge; experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and access to transportation.
• Employment subject to clearances (TB test, background checks, drug testing).

Responsabilidades

• Complete intake and enrollment with goal setting for youth.
• Verify eligibility using Apricot and maintain records.
• Monitor progress and ensure contract compliance.
• Assess youth academic and occupational skills; document findings.
• Refer to programs and resources aligned with needs.
• Transport participants when needed to reach employment goals.
• Lead workshops and group sessions for participants.
• Maintain 50-case load and consistent follow-ups.
• Support remote and in-office activities; assist with coffee shop operations.
