Job summary

Career Team, LLC is seeking a Choices/SNAP Career Advisor to provide career counseling, intensive case management, and follow-up services for eligible participants in the Choices and SNAP programs. Work is performed under the supervision of the Choices/SNAP/NCP Program Manager.

Responsibilities include intake/EI determinations, developing individual employment plans, counseling on opportunities, and coordinating referrals to services. This is a full-time onsite role with travel within the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1-2 years of work experience or a satisfactory equivalent of education and experience.
• Strong communication skills and knowledge about community resources.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well-thought-out decisions.
• Able to work with and relate to participants and be culturally sensitive.

Responsibilities

• Provide Choices/SNAP case management services to eligible participants.
• Complete intake and eligibility determination for the given workforce program.
• Assess jobseekers’ employment and training needs and abilities through interviewing, testing, and other methods.
• Enter data into Work In Texas and TIERS and any participant information system as required.
