Job summary

Goodwill of the Heartland is hiring a Full-Time Career Navigator in the Iowa City area. You will serve as a program and case manager for participants, managing a caseload, helping with intakes and assessments, and guiding participants toward their career goals.

You will identify training needs, administer assessments, and provide access to job shadows and internships to support employment readiness. A degree in human services or related field is required, with substitution options as noted, plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, education, human resources, or a related field required.
• Six years of related experience can be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• One year of employment in a related field required.
• A relevant Master's degree may be substituted for the year of experience.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and ability to pass background checks.

If so, you might be a good fit for our Full-Time Career Navigator position at the Iowa City Center.Career Navigators serve as program and case managers for program participants. They are assigned to a caseload and aid in completing intakes, assessments, and other required documentation. Career Navigators help program participants identify required training tools and skills to develop a comprehensive career plan, and from there, they will administer interest and skill-based assessments as needed. Career Navigators support and guide participants to achieve their goals and ultimately gain employment in their targeted career.
