Job summary

Goodwill of the Heartland is hiring a Full-Time Career Navigator in the Iowa City area. You will serve as a program and case manager for participants, managing a caseload, helping with intakes and assessments, and guiding participants toward their career goals.

You will identify training needs, administer assessments, and provide access to job shadows and internships to support employment readiness. A degree in human services or related field is required, with substitution options as noted, plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, education, human resources, or a related field required.
• Six years of related experience can be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• One year of employment in a related field required.
• A relevant Master's degree may be substituted for the year of experience.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as program and case manager for program participants with a caseload.
• Assist with intakes, assessments, and required documentation.
• Identify training tools and skills to develop a comprehensive career plan.
• Administer interest and skill-based assessments as needed.
• Provide access to job shadows, internships, and other employment services to help participants meet career goals.
