Description

The Career Management Consultant provides transitional career support to outplacement candidates and groups at all professional levels. Responsibilities may include field activities such as notifications and group workshops.

Results & Strategy:

1. Provide one-on-one coaching to individuals in transition within the program timeframe.
2. Determine the best approach to prepare individuals for transition, applying expertise and marketplace knowledge with urgency.
3. Monitor participation and progress against plans.
4. Identify and utilize high-value, aligned resources and activities (e.g., webinars, trainings, worksheets) to expedite readiness to re-enter the job market.

Client & Candidate:

1. Assess individuals' career aspirations to optimize the effectiveness of coaching sessions and support goal setting.
2. Consult (virtually or in-person) on potential career pathways based on interests and expertise.
3. Assist candidates with personal assessments, resume writing, job search skills, and networking to prepare for transition.
4. Facilitate individual and group workshops on various career development topics.
5. Support clients by introducing outplacement programs and building rapport with both clients and candidates, in one-on-one and group settings.
6. Provide additional on-site support for group workshops if needed.

Qualifications

Required:

• 5+ years of experience in coaching, education, facilitation, or a similar environment.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge or experience with outplacement programs, recruiting, and hiring trends.
• Experience with technology platforms related to professional networking, job search strategies, and personal branding, including social media (notably LinkedIn).
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and database applications.
• Personal PC with Windows 10 and printer.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working in virtual environments and delivering virtual presentations.
• Advanced degree.
• Experience with large, global organizations.
• Experience with outplacement services (personal or stakeholder role).
