TheBusiness Consultantwill serve as a Product Owner/Business Analyst dedicated to our Finance vertical within our Digital Consulting practice group.
Role/Responsibilities:
We are looking for a smart, self-driven, high- energy individual with top notch communication skills, intellectual curiosity and passion for excellence. The candidate should have in-depth domain experience in Finance & Accounting.
- Work with Business Stakeholders and Engagement Managers to understand pain points/inefficiencies in clients’ existing business processes and position HCL consulting offerings
- Drive the translation of complex business initiatives into innovative business-technology solutions
- Work as a functional liaison between Project Team and key Senior Executives of the client’s team to understand business priorities of the client
- Understands how business solutions can be configured to better facilitate client business processes
- Collaborate with technology groups and other alliances to bring best practices on various new technologies and tools (like Digitalization, RPA)
- Define solution vision and direction building on synergies and benefits across HCL’s offerings and new technologies
- Envision a transformation roadmap that aligns with the strategic and tactical direction of the client
- Participate in partner forums and evangelize business capabilities of HCL
- Articulate value centric solutions to a group of multidisciplinary business stakeholders
- Participation and execution of projects related to businesses processes like Finance Process Reimagination, Process Reengineering, Organization Model Transformation.
- Ability to apply the contextual and latest technologies including AI, ML, RPA etc in the process optimization.
- Work with customers on their Finance transformation roadmaps including Mergers, Acquisitions, Demergers, etc.
Mandatory Experience Required:
- Deep understanding of Finance Centric solutions (current & upcoming) and highly skilled in shaping and reviewing solutions both from a Functional and Technical perspective.
- Knowledge of integration with other core areas like supply chain, sales & materials management
- Ability to engage with client leadership on finance transformation strategy - assess current state, identify opportunities, build financial business case and paint a vision of the end state
- Strong understanding of Industry specific finance business processes across sectors such as Manufacturing, Energy, Chemical, CPG, Retail, etc.
- Customer-centric with demonstrated experience of building client relationships and growing accounts
- Ability to stay hands on, close to delivery execution and deal with critical situations and ability to independently run customer engagement workshops for Finance transformations
- Detail oriented with the ability to drill down tasks and root causes.
- Ability to guide teams through complexity, ambiguity and uncertainty
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders internally and externally - communicate with customer & partner Architects to understand and define requirements
- Working with client’s CXOs and functional leadership to shape thinking on Finance transformation & strategy including the following but not limited to:
- Defining and executing finance architecture for the fortune 100 clients
- Defining technical approach & methodology, rightly mapped solution to customer requirements, define execution roadmap.
- Developing a roadmap for Mergers & Acquisitions
- Supporting sales teams/ market facing teams in building Finance campaigns and driving planning and integrating business information, data and technology architecture for clients
- The activities will include (but not limited to), analysis of capabilities and business functions, providing recommendations pertaining to the projects that the business should perform, in addition to relevant and timely corrections to the governance structure, business processes, and the structure of business information.
- Ability to conduct domain consulting/advisory services (Business process Improvement/RE-Engineering, Gap analysis, CRPs, Transformation Roadmaps etc.)
- Develop Business architecture/ capabilities and roadmaps based on business strategies and wanted positions in collaboration with IT stakeholders.
- Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for documenting the Business rules, Requirements.
- Ensure compliance with agreed architectures, IT strategy principles, and recommendations in feasibility studies and projects.
- Lead the work to define/refine business processes, Requirements and business rules.
- Advice the planning process on risks and dependencies related to planned initiatives.
- Ability to understand PCF, underlying activities and its impact on digital information technology.
- Conduct market analysis and provide opportunities assessment in digital and analytics consulting and applications market niches.
- Understand & document client/prospect requirements (objectives, challenges, deliverables etc.) through RFx documents, emails, and other collaterals/information gathered etc.
- Support discovery, due diligence (DD) and transitions
- Ability to lead shorter teams and mentor junior team members.
- Experience of working with Statement of cash flows, Statement of financial performance (income statement, profit & loss statement) and Statement of financial position
- Understanding of Budget forecasts, accounting transaction, Reconciliations and financial regulations
- Understanding of internal auditing, financial reporting and balance sheets
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range Minimum: $79,000 per year
Pay Range Maximum: $161,700 per year

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
