Job summary

Insights Training Group, LLC is seeking a Career Specialist at the Cincinnati Job Corps Center to prepare students for successful careers through personalized instruction and work-based learning opportunities. You will collaborate across departments to provide counseling, transition planning, and placement services in compliance with policy.

The role involves coordinating with employers and training providers, supporting financial aid where needed, and ensuring accurate record-keeping in the CIS

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, Psychology, Counseling, Education, Social Science, Business, Communications, or closely related field.
• 2 years’ related experience preferred.
• Strong communication and counseling skills across diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Provide student support in career development and readiness to prepare for workplace independence.
• Meet monthly placement goals with quality placement efforts for all assigned students.
• Engage with employers, unions, apprenticeship programs, and military recruiters to support WBL and placement goals.
• Coordinate ACT/OTP programs, screen and enroll students, assist with financial aid, and liaise with other training providers.
• Maintain CIS/case notes and document all contact and services as required.
