Job summary

The Bizzell Group is seeking a Center Director to lead the CDSS department in a Job Corps center. The role plans, organizes and measures work activities, supervises recruitment and staffing, ensures training curriculum is delivered and staff are properly supervised, and promotes the program in the community.

Strong leadership and counseling background required. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in counseling, psychology or social work, with a Master’s preferred; five years of Job Corps

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology or social work; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, administers and measures work activities performed by the CDSS department.
• Supervises employment activities including recruitment, testing, reference checks and related matters.
• Ensures curriculum is taught in career preparation training and supervises staff.
• Promotes Job Corps image and community awareness.
• Develops referrals and promotes job development with employers and agencies.
• Monitors delivery of counseling and audits case notes.
