Job summary

Tallahassee State College (TSC) is seeking a Career Development Specialist at Lowell Correctional Institution in Florida. This full-time, grant-funded role supports Compass 100 Hybrid and in-cell assignments to prepare inmates for reentry through the Transition Skills Program and related services.

The successful candidate will administer assessments, deliver the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program, document services, and coordinate with pre-release employment navigators and community providers.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or high school diploma is required, plus two years of relevant experience.
• Two years of professional experience in workforce development, social services or corrections.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Administration and interpretation of assessments.
• Delivery of the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program curriculum.
• Delivery of other Department programs as directed.
• Documentation of services delivered.
• Monthly reporting of attendance, enrollments, and completions.
• Coordinate pre-release connections with community providers and employers.
• Assist Pre-Release Employment Navigators with interviews and job search.
