Job summary

Tallahassee State College is seeking a Career Development Specialist in Brooksville, FL. This full-time, grant-funded role supports Compass 100 Hybrid and correctional program initiatives, under the FDC – Hernando CI umbrella.

Responsibilities include administering assessments, delivering the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program, and coordinating pre-release employment connections, mock interviews, and job readiness activities.

Qualifications

• An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university or a high school diploma, and Two (2) years of professional experience in the workforce development, social services or corrections field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Administration and interpretation of assessments.
• Delivery of the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program curriculum.
• Delivery of other programs as determined by the Department.
• Maintaining and providing documentation of services delivered.
• Reporting monthly attendance, program enrollments, and completions on the DC5-149 form.
• Providing information pertaining to pre-release connections of community providers and employers for inmate release planning services.
• Assisting with hiring events, mock interviews, pre-release job search, recruitment, and readiness portfolio development.
