Job summary

MonDay Community Correctional Institute in Ohio is seeking a Career Development Coordinator to facilitate career development, GED testing, and community reintegration for residents. You will coordinate job training programs, employment readiness classes, and vocational activities, helping residents build skills and credentials for transition back into the community.

Under supervision, you will maintain documentation, collaborate with staff, and refer residents to employment and workforce

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with four (4) years of experience in employment, vocational training, career development, education, or a related field and a current CDCA required.
• Associates Degree in Behavioral Science, Human Resources, Education, Workforce Development, or related field with two (2) years of experience preferred and CDCA submission within 90 days.
• Ability to read and prepare routine reports and statistical information.
• Knowledge of employment, workforce development, vocational training, and career development principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain internal job training programs.
• Facilitate Employment Readiness classes.
• Facilitate Employment orientation to residents.
• Assist with vocational assessments to determine opportunities.
• Maintain a list of employment sites and contacts.
• Refer residents to appropriate employment resources.
• Coordinate GED and TABE testing activities and documentation.
• Maintain resident database documentation for testing and education progress.
• Inform residents about community service rules and opportunities.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with agency policies.
