Keeton Corrections, Inc. seeks an Employment Resources Specialist to develop employment resources for the offender population, assist with job searches, provide job leads, and counsel on interview skills, appearance, and résumé development.

You will develop and maintain liaisons with current and prospective employers and support verification activities to ensure compliant, timely placements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of work experience in guidance, counseling, or job placement; degree or certification may substitute.
• Ability to liaison with employers, research employment prospects, and counsel offenders in job search skills.

Responsabilités

• Maintain accountability of offenders on job search by telephonic and/or on-site verification.
• Audit employment search verification forms and contact employers to verify presence and interviewer skills.
• Assist with planning of job search locations, transportation, and sign in/out time for employment.
• Ensure verifications are completed within guidelines.
• Ensure monthly contact with offenders and supervisors is logged.
• Counsel offenders in appearance, presentation, and speaking skills for interviews.
• Assist with compiling and composing résumés.
• Develop resources with employers and training opportunities.
• Assist offenders with identifying data compliant with I-9 requirements.
• Monitor job search efforts and ensure full-time employment within 30 days of arrival.
• Develop resources and distribute data to offenders.
• Develop and maintain relationships with organizations and community sources.
• Assist with other duties as deemed by Director.
