Job summary

Xavier University is seeking a dedicated Assistant Director, Career Development to join the Career Development Office within the Division of Student Affairs. The role partners with Deans, academic departments, and faculty to deliver career readiness services that support students’ career, academic, personal, and professional growth.

The position coordinates career coaching, conducts programming, and connects students with experiential learning opportunities, employer postings, and on-campus

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Higher Education, College Student Personnel, Counseling, HR or similar field.
• Demonstrated experience in career development or related field.
• Knowledge of career development and student development theories and trends.
• Ability to work with diverse student populations and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide career coaching through assessments, major exploration, job/internship opportunities, and graduate planning.
• Deliver general and major-specific career programming and workshops for students.
• Connect students with employer postings, events, mentors, and on-campus recruiting.
• Assist diverse populations in accessing experiential learning opportunities and resources.
• Coordinate on-campus and virtual interviews and collaborate with faculty and chairs.
