Job summary

Wayside Youth and Family Support Network's Young Adult Program in Arlington and Methuen is seeking an Employment Specialist to help young adults 18-25 explore employment, volunteer and training options to gain work skills for competitive employment. You will connect with employers, provide job coaching and life-skills training, complete required documentation, and participate in agency meetings.

A high school diploma and relevant experience are required; bilingual candidates are encouraged to

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Previous experience providing employment support and/or training required.
• Experience in community-based or residential settings with youth preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Bilingual/Bicultural candidates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Work with young adults 18-25 to develop work skills for competitive employment.
• Engage community employers to create job opportunities and provide job coaching.
• Provide individual and group life skills assessment and education.
• Provide employment assistance, career development, and apprenticeship matching.
• Complete all required documentation and attend staff meetings/trainings.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies.
