Job summary

Undisclosed is seeking an Advisor for the NC Boost program to empower students to design academic and career goals and take ownership of their journey. The role provides holistic advising, program navigation, career exploration, financial readiness, and student development.

The advisor assists with advising new, enrolled, and prospective students, including career planning, degree options, and retention services. This is a full-time, 12-month position in a college setting.

Qualifications

• One year of admissions or academic advisement experience is required.
• Two years of full-time responsible secretarial/clerical experience is required, with experience in one of: customer service, data processing, NCCCS, Colleague or Banner, evaluating/awarding college credits.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning, implementation, and resources to improve engagement, retention, and degree completion for assigned students.
• Assist students in course selection and monitor progress; provide mentorship on policies and personal development.
• Provide academic advising to a diverse student population and assist with degree plans/audits.
• Review student progress and track use of support services.
• Conduct outreach to faculty and staff to support student success.
• Maintain accurate tracking data and notes; refer students to appropriate services.
