Job summary

Memorial Health System is seeking a Scheduler to manage patient appointments across multiple modalities including PT/OT, Speech, Infusion, Radiology, and related clinics. The role requires handling inbound calls, faxes, and electronic referrals while verifying insurance details and pre-registering patients in the EMR.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED (associates preferred), strong typing and communication skills, and familiarity with medical terminology.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in hospital/medical practice registration and insurance issues preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math; strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules modalities (PT/OT, Speech, Infusion, Radiology, etc.) and clinic visits.
• Verifies insurance, copay/coinsurance, and pre-registers patients when appropriate.
• Handles referrals, orders, and electronic lists within the EMR system.
• Communicates with patients and providers, ensuring accurate scheduling and documentation.
