Qualifications

• Two years of medical office experience.
• Insurance billing and coding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Sends referrals to internal and external providers per PCP direction.
• Schedules all incoming referrals and sends provider notes back to referring organization.
• Follows up to ensure patient attended or receives consult notes.
• Completes prior authorization paperwork for referrals requiring it.
• Assists with scheduling stat testing when needed, with manager approval.
• Answers incoming calls and assists with scheduling and registration tasks.
