Job summary

Pear Valley Senior Living - Central Point, OR is seeking a Care Partner to assist elders with daily living activities, monitor health, and provide companionship. You will engage residents in activities, assist with meals, and help maintain a clean, safe living environment.

Responsibilities include communicating with residents and families, documenting changes to health status, and supporting the wellness team. This role welcomes teamwork and requires flexibility in a senior living setting.

Qualifications

• Willing to learn and work within a team environment.
• Good verbal communication and the ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
• Licensing documentation (if required by your state) and be able to pass a criminal background check.
• Ability to perform job responsibilities with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care: assist elders with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility, possibly with walkers and wheelchairs.
• Provide health monitoring and documentation: observe, document, and report changes in the elder’s health or behavior to the Wellness Team.
• Give emotional support: may support elders dealing with loneliness, anxiety, or other emotional challenges. Engaging in conversation, active listening, and offering companionship is part of your role.
• Assist with meals: help elders with meals and possibly feed elders who require additional support.
• Engage in social and recreational activities: supporting elders in life-enriching activities for their well-being.
• Connect: Communicate with elders, their families, other team members, and guests.
• Keep things clean: may involve light housekeeping, such as tidying up and ensuring general cleanliness.
