Optum is seeking an Associate Patient Care Coordinator to support Urgent Care operations in Las Vegas, NV. The role involves greeting patients, checking in and out, updating insurance details in EPIC, and collecting co-pays while upholding the organization’s standards.

You will schedule visits, ensure correct visit types, assist in maintaining a clean waiting area, and help the care team manage patient flow. A CPR certification or ability to obtain it within 30 days is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• 1+ years of experience working with computers and computer programs.
• CPR certified OR ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to all customers.
• Greet patient and check in/out; verify demographics and insurance in EPIC and update as needed.
• Collect appropriate co-pays and adhere to policies.
• Schedule appointments; verify visit type and primary care provider.
• Maintain waiting room cleanliness and communicate information to patients.
• Collaborate with back office staff to ensure smooth patient flow; resolve issues or escalate as needed.
• Assist co-workers and float to other areas as requested.
