LiveWell Homecare Agency in Metairie, LA is seeking a compassionate caregiver to assist seniors with daily living activities, follow care plans, and document progress, while promoting safety and independence. You will engage residents through conversations and activities, support dining services, and help create a welcoming environment.

Memory Care experience is valued, and strong communication with families is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, 18+ years old.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain it.
• Compassion, reliability and strong communication skills.

Job description

The caregiver provides hands-on support to seniors, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and personal care, while following individualized service plans and documenting changes. They promote safety, dignity, and independence, engaging residents through conversation and activities, supporting dining services, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. In Memory Care, they create enriching experiences for residents with memory loss. Effective communication with families and care team members is essential.
