Job summary

NorthPointe Woods, a Cardinal Senior Living community in Battle Creek, Michigan, is seeking compassionate Medication Technicians for full-time roles. You will provide safe, consistent care, administer medications, document treatments, and collaborate with a caring care team to support residents daily.

Ideal candidates are organized, team-oriented, and able to balance medication responsibilities with hands-on resident support while maintaining safety and dignity for residents.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current Medication Technician or Medication Aide certification meeting Michigan requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Dependability, compassion, patience, and sound judgment.
• Ability to follow procedures and collaborate with care team.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and care plans.
• Accurately document medication administration and treatments.
• Communicate with pharmacies and team members about refills, changes, discrepancies.
• Complete narcotic counts and maintain medication records.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living.
• Observe residents and report changes in condition or concerns promptly.
• Complete incident reports and share relevant information with the care team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable resident environment.
• Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and coworkers.
• Assist with light household tasks (laundry, cleaning, meal-related duties) as needed.
