Job summary

Sheldon Meadows Assisted Living in Michigan is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician (Med Tech) to safely administer medications as ordered by licensed health care professionals and to ensure each resident receives care aligned with their service plan.

The role emphasizes accurate EMAR documentation, medication inventory management, and collaboration with providers, pharmacies, hospice, and families. Full- and part-time shifts available with competitive benefits outlined in the handbook.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and following directions in English.
• Caregiving experience or certification preferred: CNA, CENA, Home Health Aide.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must complete Heritage Property Management Med Tech Certification training and pass the Med Tech test.
• Must pass state criminal background screening and pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate administration of medications as ordered by a licensed health care professional.
• Accurate EMAR documentation of medication administration.
• Maintain medication inventory including controlled substances.
• Reorder medications timely to avoid missed doses.
• Communicate with providers, pharmacy, hospice and families as needed.
• Document care and services as directed per service plans.
• Assist with ADLs: bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene, mobility, dining.
• Respond to resident requests and call lights promptly.
