Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Medication Aide/Med Tech in Michigan to ensure residents receive medications safely and with dignity. The role involves administering medications, documenting in MAR/TAR in real time, and monitoring residents for effects and adverse reactions.

You will follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration, maintain clean carts, and adhere to infection control standards while providing compassionate resident care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Medication Administration certification is required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills are essential.
• Senior care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
