Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc is hiring a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long‑term care facility. You will follow menus, ensure quality and presentation, and maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen while upholding safety standards.

Teamwork, reliability, and excellent resident service are valued. Prior cooking experience and ability to follow dietary restrictions are a plus; health and safety compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook or food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Positive attitude and communicate with building occupants, administration, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
• May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state/county law.
• Residence within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean and orderly kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
