Shoreland Animal Hospital in Toledo, OH is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator) to join our team. This role combines administrative and client-service duties to support high-quality veterinary care.

You will greet clients, schedule appointments, manage lobby flow, and assist with basic medical emergencies. Our hospital emphasizes compassion, teamwork, and a stable 4-day workweek with weekday hours.

Formación

• 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge of clerical procedures and ability to organize files
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Previous veterinary desk experience, 1 year minimum

Responsabilidades

• Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and in high-stress situations
• Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, calms distressed owners, and schedules appointments
• Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being
• Assists with medication pickups, inquiries, and provides information about services and products
• Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing and accounts
• Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records
• Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions
