PetVet Care Centers' San Diego Bay Animal Hospital in San Diego, CA is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator) to join our team. This busy 4-doctor practice offers a 4-day, 10-hour schedule with three days off each week, balancing high-quality care with work-life harmony.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent combination of education, certification, training and/or experience.
• Excellent customer service skills, providing courteous and prompt assistance
• Previous veterinary hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in-person and by phone, even in high-stress situations.
• Manage lobby flow, address concerns, calm distressed owners, and schedule appointments.
• Assist with basic medical emergencies for pets and owners.
• Assist with medication pickups and provide information about services and products.
• Input and manage data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
• Assist with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records.
• Reconcile cash drawer and complete end-of-day transactions.
