Job summary

Barrow Brain and Spine is seeking a Care Coordinator Float to perform clerical and customer service functions for the physician's office you float to. You will register new patients in the EMR, ensure all necessary notes and reports are ready for the physician, and open chart encounters in AthenaOne while maintaining patient records.

You will greet and room patients, take vitals, document assessments, and help with orders, e-prescriptions, and visit summaries.

Responsibilities

• Registers new patients in the EMR prior to scheduling appointments.
• Ensures all initial consultations, notes, lab slips, radiology and pathology reports are available to the physician.
• Opens chart encounters in AthenaOne and maintains patient records for historical reference.
• Greets patients and rooms them for the clinic.
• Takes vitals and records assessments in the patient chart for physician review.
• Enters orders and E-Prescribe information and creates visit summaries.
• Schedules follow-up appointments as needed and coordinates referrals.
