Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission is seeking an Administrative Assistant III at San Antonio State Hospital in San Antonio, TX. The role supports office operations, coordinates treatment teams, and ensures timely documentation and compliance with CMS and The Joint Commission standards.

Primary duties include data entry for treatment plans, maintaining electronic and paper files, and serving as a liaison among program staff, patients, and rehabilitation teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HIPPA and confidentiality rules.
• Knowledge of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Proficient in computer use and the written language including medical terminology.
• Ability to coordinate team members and finalize plans according to policy.
• Two years of professional support experience.
• Willingness to work overtime or extended hours if needed.

Responsibilities

• Attends work regularly and may rotate schedules, including overtime as needed.
• Collects, transcribes, and enters data into the medical record to document treatment plans.
• Maintains a tracking system to ensure timely completion of treatment plans.
• Coordinates, schedules, and attends treatment team meetings; maintains files.
• Serves as liaison for program staff, patients, and rehabilitation staff.
