Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a Care Management Coordinator to support pathology and prior authorization processes, ensuring effective treatment, monitoring, and clear patient communication to deliver a positive patient experience.

This role requires organizing data, coordinating with clinical teams, and maintaining logs and reporting to optimize workflows across multiple offices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1–2 years of pathology or lab experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated to achieve high patient care and customer service standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor surgery schedule for current day and 1-2 days in advance.
• Check phone messages and follow up with patients or coordinate communication with clinical team.
• Monitor pathology reports including outside labs and take appropriate next steps.
• Review pending plan completion log for undefined workflow.
• Serve as the “owner” for the results log and update the worksheet to ensure timely data entries.
• Serve as the “owner” for the biologic Excel log, updating as changes occur.
• Communicate with drug companies in coordination with prior authorization efforts.
• Identify opportunities for efficiencies, standardization, and training and implement with Regional Operations Director.
• Assist in provider communication for multiple offices and update forms as needed.
• Liaise for patient communication.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following procedures.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
