Job summary

DOCS Dermatology Group is seeking a Care Management Coordinator to support pathology and prior authorization processes, ensuring effective treatment, monitoring, and a positive patient experience across multiple offices.

The role requires 1–2 years of pathology or lab experience, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail, with a focus on accurate data entry and timely communications.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of prior pathology or lab experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
  • Highly organized and systematic, excellent attention to detail and ability to complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Self-motivated to achieve the highest patient care and customer service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor surgery schedule for current day and 1-2 days in advance.
  • Check phone messages and follow up with patients or coordinate communication with clinical team.
  • Monitor the status of pathology reports including reports from outside labs and take appropriate action.
  • Review pending plan completion log for undefined workflow.
  • Serve as the “owner” for the results log and update the worksheet for timely data entries.
  • Serve as the “owner” for the biologic Excel log, monitoring and updating as changes occur.
  • Responsible for communication with drug companies in coordination with prior authorization efforts.
  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies, standardization, and training and collaborate with Regional Operations Director for implementation.
  • Act as a resource for clinical and prior authorization team members by updating forms, verifying documentation, ensuring deadlines are met, and assisting in provider communication for multiple offices.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.
