Job summary

AMEDISYS HOME HEALTH is seeking a Patient Services & Home Health Scheduler to coordinate patient assessments and clinician schedules, ensuring efficient care delivery. You will manage scheduling across geographies, resolve scheduling issues, and support seamless communication among patients, clinicians, and care teams.

The role emphasizes problem-solving in a fast-paced environment and contributing to reliable workflows that impact patient care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: 1 year scheduling experience in healthcare.
• Preferred: 1 year administrative experience in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient assessments and Oasis visits in a timely manner.
• Assign and schedule clinicians in the most efficient geography.
• Collaborate with field clinicians to ensure visits occur as ordered.
• Handle calls from patients and staff about scheduling issues.
• Monitor hospitalized patients and ensure follow-up by the team.
• Generate reports and take appropriate action on workflow.
• Assist transfers between care centers or hospice services.
• Maintain supply closet and liaison with field for patient supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
