Job summary

Varco Hospice is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator – Home Health to support daily operations, coordinate patient visits, and ensure accurate documentation. This in-person role requires strong multitasking and compassionate communication.

You will work with clinical teams, staff, and families to schedule visits, maintain records, and uphold healthcare regulations, delivering reliable administrative support across the hospice program.

Qualifications

• Experience in an administrative or office coordination role, preferably in healthcare, home health, or hospice.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Office Operations: Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including maintaining patient records, handling correspondence, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Scheduling & Coordination: Assist with scheduling home health visits, ensuring proper documentation, and coordinating with clinical teams to optimize patient care services.
• Communication Hub: Serve as the first point of contact for staff, patients, and families, providing professional and compassionate communication.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, process paperwork for new admissions, and ensure all documentation meets state and federal healthcare requirements.
• Operational Support: Work closely with clinical staff, field nurses, and leadership to support office workflows and improve efficiency.
• Inventory & Supply Management: Monitor and order medical and office supplies to support home health and hospice operations.
