Job summary

Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church is seeking a Director/Pastor of Connection, Community, and Care to oversee ministries that shepherd newcomers toward membership and care ministries. You will work with the Associate Pastor and teams to recruit and develop leaders, oversee community groups, and guide the Deacon Board.

Strong administrative and relational leadership, plus a clear biblical foundation, are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Strong administrative, leadership and relational skills.
• Strong communication skills (written and oral).
• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master's degree desirable.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the guest-to-member journey with structural leadership.
• Oversee guest hospitality, follow-up, and next steps for connection.
• Recruit, coach, and care for Community Group leaders and lay ministry leaders.
