Job summary
Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin, seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery team. You will work closely with surgeons and anesthesiologists to provide comprehensive preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care for adult patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
The ideal candidate has NP/PA credentials with board certification in AGACNP-BC or ACNPC-AG, and 1–3 years of cardio/thoracic experience.
Qualifications
- Master's/postmaster's/doctorate from NP program accredited by CCNE or NLNAC
- 1–3 years of cardio/thoracic surgery, critical care or surgical specialties strongly preferred
- Current RN and NP licensure in each state of practice
- Current DEA permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice
- State CDS license if required by state
- Board certification as AGACNP-BC or ACNPC-AG; other certifications require leadership approval
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and multidisciplinary care team
- Provide preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care for cardiovascular and thoracic patients
- Manage care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
