Job summary
Sanford Health – Marshfield Clinic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery team in Marshfield, Wisconsin. You will provide advanced nursing care for adults undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic procedures, working with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and a multidisciplinary team in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
The role emphasizes preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative management, with collaboration across the care
Qualifications
- Master’s, postmaster’s, or doctorate from NP program accredited by CCNE or NLNAC.
- 1–3 years of experience in cardiovascular/thoracic surgery, critical care, or surgical specialties strongly preferred.
- Current licensure as RN and NP in each state of practice.
- Current DEA permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practice.
- State CS license (if required by state).
- National board certification as AGACNP-BC or ACNPC-AG; or Family/Adult options with approval.
- Privileging and credentialing requirements may supersede this description.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced nursing care for adults undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the care team.
- Manage preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care in inpatient and outpatient settings.
