Job summary

UCF Lake Nona Hospital in Orlando is seeking a Cardiovascular Technician RCIS to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team. You will assist physicians during life-saving cardiac procedures, prepare patients and families, and operate advanced lab equipment to deliver precise, safe care.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient interaction, adherence to sterile techniques, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes and patient experience at a leading HCA Healthcare facility.

Qualifications

• Experiences in cardiac and vascular procedures.
• Strong patient education and care.
• Ability to operate and maintain cath lab equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures (angiograms, angioplasties, stent placements).
• Prepare and support patients and families before, during, and after procedures.
• Operate and monitor advanced imaging and support equipment to ensure safety and effectiveness.
• Monitor patient responses with vigilance to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a sterile, safe environment and advocate for every patient.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting physicians with complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements
• Preparing and supporting patients and families with care, education, and reassurance before, during, and after procedures
• Operating and maintaining advanced equipment to deliver safe and effective treatment
• Monitoring patient responses with vigilance and compassion to ensure the highest level of care
• Safeguarding a sterile, safe environment while serving as an advocate for every patient

What qualifications you will need:

• Vocational School Graduate, or High School Graduate / GED
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (RCIS) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, or (RCES) Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist
