Job summary

UCF Lake Nona Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab RN to join our team in Orlando, FL. The role provides direct nursing care in accordance with policies and protocols and requires coordination across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care.

Qualified candidates will have a Florida RN license (or multistate license with 60 days to Florida), 1+ year Cath Lab experience, and required certifications (BCLS, ACLS within specified timeframes).

Qualifications

• 1+ years of RN Cath experience in an acute care environment.
• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license; Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain Florida license after relocation.
• ACLS Provider card required within 6 months of employment start.
• BCLS required within 30 days of start.
• Interventional Cath Lab or critical care experience.
• 30 minute call window.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition.
• Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.

We are seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab RN to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. You will proactively assume responsibility and accountability for several patients during a designated time frame while following policies and procedures. You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.

In this role you will:

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.

Job Requirements:

• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
• 1+ years of RN Cath experience in an acute care environment
• Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, BSN is preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of start
• American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required within 6 months of employment start date
• Interventional Cath Lab or critical care experience
• 30 minute call window
