Job summary

UF Health Leesburg Hospital is seeking an EP Lab CVT for a PRN day shift to support the cardiology team. The role includes monitoring procedures, assisting the physician in scrub and circulator roles, and supporting diagnostic EP and cardiac ablation, device implants and explants, and cardiac cath procedures to ensure safe patient care.

Required education includes an Associate's Degree in CVT or related fields, and RCIS or RCES certification within 12 months; ARRT licensure or equivalent is

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or higher in CVT, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, LPN or Paramedic license.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with RCIS or RCES certification within 12 months of hire.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• ARRT Certification preferred or equivalent licensure within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

The EP Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, assist physician in a scrub-assistant role, and circulates to include all diagnostic EP and cardiac ablations procedures, device implants and explants, cardiac cath procedures to ensures safe patient care. This is a prn day shift position.

Qualifications

• Education
  • Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, LPN license, or Paramedic license.
  • In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years’ experience and:
    • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) OR
    • Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)
• Licensure/Certification/Registration
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
  • If no ARRT, then one of the following licenses or certifications:
    • -FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license
    • -FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license
    • -Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification
    • -Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification
    • -any of the four license/certifications above within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required
