Job summary

UF Health Central Florida seeks a Cardiovascular Technology professional to monitor procedures in the EP Lab CVT, assist physicians, and perform circulating duties across diagnostic EP, cardiac ablations, device implants and explants, and cardiac caths, ensuring patient safety. Minimum 1 year in Cardiac Cath or EP lab, with eligible RCIS/RCES certification within 12 months of hire.

English proficiency is essential; ARRT/ARRT licensure is preferred, with BLS and ACLS as required certifications.

Overview

The EP Lab CVT, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, assist physician in a scrub-assistant role, and circulates to include all diagnostic EP and cardiac ablations procedures, device implants and explants, cardiac cath procedures to ensures safe patient care.

Qualifications

Education

• Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
• In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years experience AND - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) OR - Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
• OR - FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred) - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification
• OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields)
• BLS
• ACLS

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required

Minimum 1 year recent experience in Cardiac Cath lab or EP lab:

For less than 1 year EP experience, must have graduated from an accredited academic program with a dedicated EP curriculum and successful completion of EP clinical rotations.

Must have a strong knowledge base in Electrocardiograms, rhythm analysis, sterile technique, cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, and radiation protection
