Job summary

UF Health Leesburg Hospital is seeking a Cath Lab CVT Charge to monitor diagnostic and interventional procedures and support structural heart cases in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment.

The role involves educating students and new hires, assisting with education and mentoring, and collaborating with a close-knit team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care in three Cath Labs and one Electrophysiology Lab.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field.
• RCIS or RCES certification required within 12 months of hire.
• ARRT license preferred.
• BLS/ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral studies and structural heart procedures.
• Assist as scrub tech and support education of students and new hires in the cath lab.
• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care in a team-focused environment.

Overview:There are three Cath Labs at UF Health's Leesburg Hospital and 1 Electrophysiology Lab.

We are searching for someone who is passionate about elevating their clinical skillset and value their professional experience they will acquire while working. At Leesburg Hospital, there are a lot of complex interventional cases and structural heart cases. The Providers are excited about the field and love to share their knowledge with their staff.

This is a close-knit Cath Lab where collaboration and teamwork is celebrated with state-of-art Cath Lab technology and medical devices.There are 3 Cath Labs at UF Health's Leesburg Hospital and 1 Electrophysiology Lab.

Responsibilities

The Cath Lab CVT Charge, under the direction the of the director/manager person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral

studies as well as structural heart procedures, and works as a scrub assistant.

The CVT Charge also assists with education and mentoring of students and new hires within the cath lab environment and facilitates the delivery of quality, safe patient care. This is a Full Time, Day Shift position.On-Call Required

Qualifications

EducationAssociate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory TherapyIn Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years' experience and:

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)

ORRegistered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)

Licensure/Certification/Registration

FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)

ORFL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification

OR
