Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health in Neptune, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardio Vascular & Surgical Stepdown unit. You will provide evidence-based patient care, communicate with the care team, and document using advanced bar-scanning and electronic systems.

Ideal candidates have a NJ nursing license, BSN in progress or plan to obtain within 3 years, and 6 months of nursing experience. BLS required; ACLS and telemetry certs preferred.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey nursing license required.
• BSN in progress and/or willingness to acquire within three years of hire.
• Step-down progressive care experience preferred.
• LVAD experience preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Telemetry certification preferred.
• National certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care based on evidence-based practices.
• Communicate patient status and plans with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation tech.
• Document assessments, plans, interventions, and evaluations electronically.
• Provide patient and family-centered education for health optimization.
• Support multi-disciplinary discharges for safe transitions.
